....I have a rule about modern music in period films. I hate it when they do that. They did it in "A Knight's Tale" and "Moulin Rouge" and now in "Marie Antoinette."

However, for this one scene, I will set aside my feelings. It fits. Perfectly. (Including the purple chucks.)

The Day We Made History... Hour By Hour - [Sunday Herald]

I said it before, I'll say it again. I was religiously following this event. I had plans that lasted all day, but I recorded it. I loved it. The music was wonderful, the message was well-received, I think.

A little less of the VH-1 and MTV hosts getting preachy and lying about how deeply moved they were might have improved things from my line of sight. Wish they had shown more of the acts...US coverage overshadowed most of the foreign-stage acts. I have to laugh at Rome getting Tim McGraw....are there a lot of country music fans in Italy???
